Born and educated in London, England, Julie graduated from St. Peters and from Falmouth College of Art in Cornwall. She owned a studio and gallery in Newquay, Cornwall where she did free-lance work for restaurants, hotels and private buyers.
After two years of traveling in the United States - east to west, Mexico to Alaska - Julie settled in New England in 1964. She exhibited her oil paintings widely throughout the east coast and received numerous awards through juried shows and commissions from Paine Webber Associates, the Sawmut Bank in Boston and from the Hartford Insurance Company in New Hampshire.
Following having a studio/workshop and exhibiting in the mid-west, St. Louis, Chicago, and then on the west coast in San Diego and Santa Monica, Julie moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1989.
Julie also designs and creates unique soft sculptures, suede wall hangings and mixed media collage on canvas.
She has exhibited in major shows in New Mexico. Her art work has been published in magazines and on CD covers, and is represented in a number of galleries in the southwest.
